As I eagerly look forward
to retirement from public school administration in June, my occasional
backward glances at the past forty years are highlighted by my
marriage to Marilyn; the births and lives of our daughter, Shannon,
and son, Gregg, and his daughter (our granddaughter), Paige; the
wonderful and different places we have lived; obtaining a University
of Wisconsin PhD; and the varied experiences I have had in public,
private, state department, and university education.
I am most grateful to
Pomona for making your acquaintance and have been fascinated over
the years with your life ventures as reported in Pomona Today,
the Fred Sontag network, and notfrequentenough visits with Ken,
Bill, Chuck, and Mike. As a small token of my appreciation for
what the College has meant to me, it has been a pleasure promoting
Pomona at college fairs and interviewing applicants as an alumni
admissions volunteer.
