Richard, John, Myrna, and Katie, the dog

After some initial "educational uncertainty" (for example, law school in Berkeley for one year) I graduated from UCLA Medical School in 1969 followed by specialty training in Psychiatry and Psychoanalysis. For the past 30 years I have done private practice in West Los Angeles utilizing both medication and "talk therapy" while maintaining intellectual interests in two areas: (1) the characterization of elements integral to successful psychotherapy and (2) identifying the relevance for clinical work of the new findings emerging from the multidiscipline of Evolutionary Psychology.

In my personal life, my wife, Myrna, and I are proud of our son John (age 32) who lives in Denver and is currently employed by Anthem/Blue Cross Health Services as an Information Technology Project Manager.

As well, I've maintained my interest in the outdoorsbackpacking and rock climbingand we do a modest amount of travel each year, near and far.

As my attendance at the reunion is uncertain at this time, I would like to extend warm greetings to all Beleni classmates.
